I have spent most of my 30-year career in senior management and board level roles within operator companies. These have included Area Asset Manager for four major North Sea fields, Global Head of Drilling and Well Technology for a midcap multinational and founder and COO of a leading European unconventional gas operator.
Having a strong background in all aspects of well construction and subsurface engineering, including global responsibilities related to rig procurement and corporate technical excellence, I enjoy having the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience of well decommissioning via our training courses.
The aim is to ensure that course participants properly understand and can act appropriately upon, the associated risks and uncertainties of these milestone operations.
I have been involved with advising a European National Government Agency on all drilling and well-related matters, including decommissioning, and also acted as study lead for an Oil & Gas UK commissioned review of requirements for deepwater well abandonment worldwide. Attending our training courses offers an insight into well decommissioning and provides a learning opportunity for those wishing to have a better understanding of this sector.
