Peter Sheal

“I like to adjust my training style and materials to fit participants’ learning needs and work situations. I enjoy seeing the improvements that training makes to participants’ management and communication skills which leads to improved self-confidence at work.”

I have more than thirty years’ experience in training and development, most of it spent working in the international oil and gas industry. I worked for the British Council at universities in Libya and Nigeria before joining Saudi Aramco, working in staff development, management training, and internal management consultancy. Later, I taught management and business courses for Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen and overseas. I joined MDT in 2001 and have delivered training courses for oil and gas companies all over the world.

I have written four books on training published by the Longman Group and Kogan Page. They include ‘How to Develop and Present Staff Training Courses’ and ‘The Staff Development Handbook’.  I enjoy the Scottish countryside and visiting my sons and their families in the US and Vietnam.
