I started my oil and gas career as a Drilling Engineer with Britoil in 1985 and now have more than 30 years’ experience working internationally with major operators. In 1991, I moved to Hess Corporation where I held various well engineering and operational positions including Drilling Engineering Manager for Europe, North Africa and Asia and latterly as a well examiner for Chevron Upstream Europe.
Extensive experience was gained in the North Sea in the UK, Danish and Norwegian offshore sectors in well construction, well integrity and decommissioning, conducted from platforms, mobile units and jackups.
During my 10 years with BG Group, I primarily led their UK and Norway High Pressure, High Temperature Wells function.
With a specialist background in all aspects of well construction and examination, I have served as drilling engineering lead on a number of field abandonment and decommissioning projects and also acted as technical author of corporate well barrier and abandonment technical standards.
By using the experiences and knowledge gained throughout my career I am able to deliver meaningful training to those participants attending our well decommissioning courses.
