With trading conditions in the oil & gas industry remaining incredibly challenging, a number of UK based organisations are targeting overseas opportunities in areas of the world less adversely impacted by low commodity prices. The Middle East is one such area, however, knowing how to do business there and understanding the importance of cultural awareness in securing contracts is essential. This 'new to market' course will address vital areas, such as the importance of cultural awareness, etiquette, communication, relationship building and traditions, as well as more complex topics such as religion, cross cultural attitudes, language, negotiation skills, agreement building and business practices. The aim is to provide the knowledge, know-how and confidence to communicate effectively within a multi-cultural environment.
Please take a look at Paul Keighley’s short video to find out more about what will be covered during the session. Paul, who lives in Finland, and who has over 30 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, has worked in many countries throughout the world and is looking forward to sharing his specialist knowledge and experience with you. If you would like to learn how to use your cultural edge in project bids and ensure that you can help to make your culturally diverse organisation grow then we hope you will be able to join one of our workshops during May.
