Well Decom

I have been involved in well engineering since 1986, and subsea production field well decommissioning since 1993. During my 30 year career I have held a number of senior technical and managerial positions including Global Technical Authority for Subsea Well Systems at BG Group and Area Asset Manager for the West Shetland basin at Hess Corporation.

During my time with Hess Corporation, I was responsible for all aspects of strategy development and planning for the 33-well Ivanhoe / RobRoy and Fife / Flora / Fergus project.

International experience was gained in all aspects of well engineering and operations, along with specific subsea well expertise, I have been involved in a number of well decommissioning peer review teams and also led a study into the use of light well intervention vessels in subsea well decommissioning.

Well Decom’s Directors are trusted advisors to government and industry, and have represented operators on cross-industry decommissioning forums.  We have helped to write well decommissioning standards and industry guidelines and also have access to an unparalleled network of industry experts.
