Drew Leitch, BA, is the Managing Director of MDT International. Before joining MDT International in 2004,
Drew spent 15 years with Amerada Hess in a variety of
petroleum accounting and commercial roles. He has practical,
hands-on petroleum accounting, commercial and management knowledge gained by working
internationally in UK, Norway, Denmark, Gabon and, before
leaving Hess, he was Country Manager in Brazil. Drew is instructor for E&P Accounting, Auditing in
the E&P Industry, Finance for Non Financial Managers, Petroleum Economics & Risk Management
and Introduction to the Oil & Gas Industry.

Nick Sands, BA, DipM, is Director of Training and joined MDT International in 1998. He has over 25 years experience
in the upstream and downstream parts of the petroleum
industry. His career started with BP, with whom he worked
until 1994 in a variety of commercial roles in the UK,
Germany, Holland and Kuwait. Prior to joining MDT International,
Nick was Head of Oil & Gas Economics at QGPC, Qatar
for four years. He is a tutor for Petroleum Economics & Risk Management, Developing & Negotiating PSCs, Contracts Strategy & Management, Project Management Skills, Negotiating Skills, First Time Leadership & Supervision, International Business Communication Skills, International Management Skills.

Robert Hockley, BA, is a Director of the company. He joined MDT International in 2001. Robert has over 25 years experience in
the exploration and production sectors of the petroleum
industry. He spent 12 years working for Conoco in both
London and Aberdeen in a number of financial and commercial
roles. After 2 years at Kerr McGee, Robert joined the
Finnish oil company Neste where he was responsible for
the financial aspects of a number of projects in the Middle
East, North Africa, the USA and Europe. He lived in Dubai
for 4 years before returning to the UK to join MDT. Robert
is a tutor for E&P Accounting, Auditing in the E&P
Industry, Finance for Non-Financial Managers, Petroleum Economics & Risk Management and Introduction
to the Oil and Gas Industry.

Gerard Murphy, LLB, CA, is a law graduate of Glasgow
University and member of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants of Scotland with 30 years experience in
the worldwide energy sector. He has worked in senior
Finance and Commercial positions for major multi nationals,
independent operators and state owned organisations
in the upstream oil and gas business, including BHP,
Dragon Oil, Jawaby Oil Service Company and Shell. For
six years he was a financial controller and change manager
of the largest UK electricity generator. He has a detailed
knowledge of oil field practice
affecting UK, North Africa and Caspian regions. Gerard is a tutor for E&P Accounting, Auditing in the E&P Industry, Finance for Non-Financial Managers, Petroleum Economics & Risk Management, Developing & Negotiating PSCs, Contracts Strategy & Management, Project Management Skills, Negotiating Skills and Introduction to the Oil and Gas Industry.

Keith Brown, MA, CA, is an accountancy graduate of Aberdeen University and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. Keith has a significant level of oil and gas industry experience gained in a number of senior finance, commercial and management roles over the last 30 years. His prior roles have included: 12 years as Finance Manager with Unocal UK Ltd; 9 years at Director level with Grampian Enterprise; 3 years as Outside Operated Asset Manager with Amerada Hess. Keith is a tutor for E&P Accounting, Finance for Non-Financial Managers, Petroleum Economics & Risk Management and Introduction to the Oil and Gas Industry.

Paul Keighley, BSc, CEng, FIMM, has over 30 years
experience in the international petroleum industry.
His degree subject was geology and he has worked as
a drilling engineer, petroleum engineer, operations
manager. He spent a number of years as VP International
for Neste Oy E&P based in London and Dubai. He was
latterly General Manager for Crescent Petroleum in Sharjah,
UAE. Paul undertakes the teaching of Introduction to
the Oil & Gas
Industry, Petroleum Economics & Risk Management, Developing & Negotiating PSCs, Contracts Strategy & Management, Negotiating Skills and Finance for Non-Financial Managers.

Peter Sheal, BA, MA, MSc, AIMC, FCIPD teaches a range of our International Management and Professional Development courses. Prior to joining MDT, Peter held a variety of management positions in staff development, management training and internal consultancy during a 17 year career with Saudi Aramco. He has also taught at universities in Nigeria & Libya. Peter is a business author and his most recent publications are How to Develop and Present Staff Training Courses and The Staff Development Handbook: An Action Kit to Improve Performance, both published by Kogan Page. Peter is a tutor for Negotiating Skills, First Time Leadership & Supervision, International Business Communication Skills and International Management Skills

Tom Jones, BA, ACIS, is the founder and Principal of MDT International. He has specialised in the development and presentation of commercially related training material to the energy sector since 1992. Prior to this he spent fifteen years in industry with British Gas, British Leyland and Conoco, being mainly responsible for accounting, financial control and investment appraisal activities. His broad subject and international experience enables Tom to conduct a wide selection of MDT International courses.
