Industry experience:
Over 30 years in senior finance and commercial positions for major multi-nationals, independent operators and state-owned organisations in the upstream oil and gas business, including BHP, Dragon Oil, Jawaby Oil Service Company and Shell, with a detailed knowledge of oilfield practice affecting the UK, North Africa and Caspian regions. For six years, Gerard was also a financial controller and change manager of the largest UK electricity generator.

What was your motivation for moving into training?
Watching course participants capture new learning and realise their own capabilities. Also escaping large office politics and bureaucracy!
