The
goal of this course is to improve the effectiveness of those involved
in the preparation and delivery of learning programmes. The course
will enable you to:
• Apply the principles of adult learning to the design and development of training programmes
• Analyse the learning needs of your target population
• Select the appropriate learning approach and media to meet those needs
• Develop high quality, high impact active learning materials
• Develop effective training plans for groups of employees
• Conduct highly effective training and facilitated learning sessions
• Evaluate the effectiveness of your training programmes
• Plan for your Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

This course
is aimed at anyone who is intending to be, or is currently involved in,
the development and delivery of training and who wishes to improve their
training and facilitation skills.

About 30% of the workshop time is devoted to
instruction and examples. 70% of the time is spent on
group activities, exercises, case studies and
simulations. These activities are designed to give you
practice and build your confidence in managing
yourself and your time.
